September 30 and October 1, 2008 at the beautiful Hilton
DeSoto in historic Savannah, Georgia, The
PELORUS Group will convene its fourth annual DIS Summit.
Even as Directory Information Services take hold and gain momentum, they
lay the foundation for the next wave of offerings - Local Information
Services (LIS). "DIS '08: The
Vanguard Of Local Information Servicessm" will
showcase concrete and compelling DIS implementations and applications, and provide a
timeline for their continuing metamorphosis into LISsm.
In addition, The
PELORUS Group is delighted to announce its "Awards
For DIS Excellence". These special awards will be
presented to industry leaders in recognition of their companies'
breakthrough accomplishments in the information services arena during the
event's always eagerly anticipated reception.

Nomination Process:
|
|
|
Entries for the above categories of the “Awards
for DIS Excellence” are invited for consideration beginning June
9, 2008 until July 18, 2008. The deadline
will not be extended.

|
|
Companies may be nominated
for up to three categories. Each
nomination should be no more than 300 words, split under the following
four sub-headings. (The total word count should not exceed 300 words).

|
|

|
Selection Process:
|
|
|
|
All nominations for The
Pelorus Group’s “Awards for DIS Excellence” are to be emailed to Laurie Murphy at lmurphy@pelorus-group.com.

|
The awards ceremony, during
which time the awards will be presented to the individual category
winners, will take place at the end of the first day during the event’s
reception on September 30th, 2008. The PELORUS Group
judges will be responsible for selecting the final winners.
