Navigating Change In
Directory Assistance Markets

ENHANCED DA REDUX

In 2001, The PELORUS Group released its first comprehensive analysis of the nascent enhanced directory assistance market. In the two years that have elapsed since, the market picture has firmed.  Multiple new services from a host of players have converged to both generate user awareness and galvanize the industry.  In an overall DA market characterized by declining call volumes, EDA offers the promise of new revenue generation through a myriad of bold offerings designed to incite usage and spark growth.

From wireless providers and their outsourcers, to wireline incumbents hampered by regulatory constraints but positioning to capitalize on the upsurge in consumer interest, industry players are honing strategies. For good reason. Within five years, the market for EDA services could climb to $5 billion. With so much hanging in the balance, the need for accurate and realistic opportunity assessment has never been more pressing.

Nobody studies emerging DA markets more consistently or thoroughly than The PELORUS Group.  For three decades we’ve been a leader in identifying, analyzing and projecting forward where the market is headed, as well as what the ramifications to industry participants will be. We hold no punches. Our thought-provoking assessments are hailed as cogent exercises in realistic market valuations. Organizations around the world tap into our DA expertise. “Enhanced Directory Assistance” is an exclusive report, offering unprecedented depth and a bold strategic perspective. Its insights and recommendations are the result of years of hands-on research into the rapidly changing DA landscape. The latest entry in a series of landmark DA studies from The PELORUS Group, “Enhanced Directory Assistance” may very well be the most provocative such study to date.
