Helping To Navigate Change In
Speech Technology Markets

A MARKET ON THE MEND?

Speculation is mounting that 2003 may prove to be the beginning of the turnaround.  Key market segments appear to be gaining traction.  The spate of M&A’s, the up-tick in balance sheets for many players back into the black, the launch of new targeted initiatives – all bespeak a market ready to make a comeback.  Following two years of entrenchment and belt-tightening, it would indeed be a welcome development should we be able to look back someday at 2003 with fondness as the point of market re-vitalization.

But how much is hype?  How much wishful thinking?  And how much based on a solid foundation of understanding who its making the sales and why?  What is it companies must do at this critical juncture to reconcile innuendo with reality?  What are key players doing to achieve ballast and launch workable solution strategies to stimulate the market?  Which segments are reacting to initiatives currently on the table, and which will likely hold off till 2004 and beyond?

Speech Technologies:  The Growth Years” is a mission-specific analytical tool.  It will assist subscribers in the clarification and implementation of strategies that can make a difference today.  It will help solidify new market directions by offering solid data on actual market growth in key segments, and complement that insight with thorough evaluations of key competitors’ current strategies.  It is designed to be data-intensive; to provide senior-level actionable guidance to in-house project teams.  In clear and unambiguous wording, it challenges consensus views with crisp thought-provoking arguments concerning the status of today’s market, the position and standing of key payers, and the outlook for growth - by market segment - over each of the next five years.
